Oklahoma City IHS Award
Prairie Band Health Services has been awarded a new contract under the Oklahoma City Area Indian Health Service to place a hybrid/telehealth Rheumatologist at Haskell Indian Health Center, Lawrence, KS. The doctor is hired, credentialing has begun, and patient care will be delivered soon.
This is exciting growth for the PBHS team and direct pay off from consistently trying to serve this clinic, the area office, and a new position we have not hired for previously. The PBHS team has worked diligently with Ron Broadnax in Business Development to pursue new opportunities like this.
Why would someone see a rheumatologist?
A rheumatologist is a doctor that specializes in treating inflammatory (rheumatic) conditions and autoimmune diseases. Rheumatologists diagnose, treat, and manage a broad range of conditions including arthritis, autoimmune diseases, and osteoporosis.
